Any person who's ever attended a Stereolab concert knows that drummer Andy Ramsay loves gum. Mainly because it occurs, he is something of the gum connoisseur who helps make a point of sampling new flavors and types wherever his travels direct him, but chewing gum only: Ramsay's disdain for the likes of BubbleYum and Bubble Tape is legendary amongst the dozens of visitors who frequent his chewinggum blog. Matters include things like the meditative attributes of metronomic chewing, a Juicy Fruit image essay, and an overcomprehensive oral record of chewing gum in the French punk underground scene, circa 1978. Ramsay not too long ago inked offers to extend his admittedly esoteric pursuit into a majormotion picture starring James Franco.
